Why have WebQuests become a preferred tool for class planning nowadays?
nurses' experience
ResponderEliminarhow could we as future teachers replicate this successful action when planning our own lessons?
well! for me it's right clear.
we just must follow the experts' intructions. In this case,
the five Mr. Dogge's principles are quite enough for us to desing a high-leveled, well-oriented WebQuests for any of aur future classes.
let's remind these principles:
1. The first principle is to find great sites.
2. The second principle is to orchestrate learners and resources.
3. third principle is to challenge learners to think <>
4. The fourth principle is to use the medium. (the Internet is not only a network of computers, but also a network of people).
5. The final principle is to scaffold high expectations.
if we follow these five principles seriously, I think, we can replate our classes's plannings and succeed!

ResponderEliminarWe are in the era where we all know that learning is not just something that happens in a classroom, the Internet has evolved and has become an important support tool for teachers and students, for example, nurses have the opportunity to learn but in a more flexible way in terms of time and expense. learning through the Webquest is more flexible.
the WebQuest is becoming in a tool for planning class because it helps to an interaction between the students around the world via internet also the WebQuest help to "find useful, meaningful ways in which students can access even post information on the web", but we have to take into account that not all the informations that we find on internet is useful that´s why the teacher has to be careful with the pages that the students used.
ResponderEliminarThat's right man.
EliminarIt's really important
To set a good list of information sources for students to be guided
Regarding the 1st Question:
ResponderEliminarI will quote something Stanford says in his document "The need for engaging tools for learning has never been greater" and quite frankly, the amount of tools one can find to help ourselves in the classroom is also abundant.
For starters, following the parts of webquests named in Day's document, Dodge video and the children video, sounds like a nice way to start managing a Webquest. As time passes by, and considering the context in which we will teach, we can start modifying some parts of the methodology so that it can acommodate to the students needs while taking into account the resources.
WebQuest it's a great tool for the teacher in the classroom, and also when he isn't in class, for example autonoumus class, or when the students have homework and they don't remember what is the topic, or idea for the task. So the WebQuest play a important rol for the students, because through the web always have information about the course.
ResponderEliminarAnytime,anywhere!

ResponderEliminarRada Sviridon's document:
ResponderEliminarNowadays we consider the computer more than a tool, because we are becoming more dependent to it and it is a good thing. The information will be always saved and easy to found because the media is giving us a lot of facilities to leave a legacy and let the others turn it into useful knowledge. For the creation of a WebQuest is mandatory to have a computer and necessary to have a previous knowledge for the use of it, the rest is to take as much advantage as possible of all the information that is in the internet and obviously improve it constantly for the benefit of the WebQuest.
As it says there, technological innovation goes hand- in-hand with the growth of English.
EliminarI think that the Webquest not only serves us as language's teachers because is a very useful tool for any kind of learning, even for other programs such as medicine. The main point is knowing that the internet is a very powerful tool when someone needs to learn something.
ResponderEliminarWe live in an era that involves technology everywhere and you can almost do everything from your computer. So why wouldn’t we as teachers use this kind of technologies, like WebQuest, to plan a class? Using the internet to send the tasks to your students allows to the teacher connected with your students in a reciprocal way. Also the students can be in contact with their classmates to answer any concern.
ResponderEliminarTeaching English with WebQuest gives so many opportunities to integrate different competence, it only depends in the material that you want to use. The one that decided that is the teacher that is in charge and he has to make sure that the web is used as a meaningful purpose for the education.
Just over a decade, people stopped using the classroom as the only place to learn, we have found different ways to do it, we see how the internet has become the main tool of our daily use and this is how we realized how successful it can be if we learn to use it in the right way, as the nurse learned and could adapt in her field of learning through WebQuest, we as a future teachers must teach the importance of this, as English teachers we haven't give the place to WebQuest deserves, we prefer to move to other country to improve our English and we didnot realized that here, on internet there are so many pages, videos, and whatever you want to learn.
ResponderEliminarThe article claims that many nurses have lack of knowledge when they have an employment. Nurses who don´t feel satisfied in their environment have less cares with the patients. The article discuss of the WebQuest, a “comprehensive and inquiry-oriented strategy as an alternative to traditional education” to promote critical thinking, also have multiple opportunities like to be an inexpensive tool and allowing nurses study in the free time at work or their homes.
ResponderEliminarThe WQ designed for Dodge and March propose a constructivist theory in where the students constantly going to explore problems, questions ,develop strategies , etc. for that reason learners develop more critical thinking than with traditional methods, they going to be more creative and have most capacity for resolution of problems.
The objective of work in WQ is to guide to students through the web for develop task, brochures and problems can be applied in the practice, is very practical work and is focus in objectives and goals which students should accomplish .
Already very well we know hat the webquest encourages learning at the highest level of achievement,
ResponderEliminaraccording to Bloom's taxonomy, and offers educators
and nurses the opportunity to direct and individualize
learning in a number of creative ways. but what is the main point that the webquest apart from being a tool for learning should be also a tool for communication and research driving creativity we have in our minds of how best to do things in an easier way and that to our hands, obtaining the following results:
1) time saving to the management of technology for teachers and in this case as for nurses.
2) flexibility in the formation of learning, not only educators have the privilege to access this tool. and only learning of in classrooms, but there are other contexts that makes the technology and the internet are more in our hands.
3) students as the main basis: students are those who spend the most time in the technology because it is the easiest and most direct tool they have, for that reason we need to get to that time, steal as much as you can from that time with the use of the webquest for your attention and time available.
